Tracing Squire II P-Bass Roots

Hello all,

I own a MIK Squire II P-Bass with the serial numbers that begin with "MK". I've looked at other posts and threads about their Squire Basses and none mention "MK". Can anyone hazard a guess where my bass originated and the year?
