Trade Stringray for RIC?

You would probably have to add cash on your end.

If it was an older 'Ray then you could probably do a straight trade or trade with cash on their end.

Those two basses are totally different, in terms of tone and feel you may want to try a rick out if you havent, you may not like it.
 
I understand. I figured it would be cash on my end. I keep seeing like 70's rics going for like 1200. which is what rays cost usually.

Why do a lot of older rics go so much lower than new ones? Seems to be the opposite of fender.
 
I see a lot of older Rics going for more than the newer ones, unless you're talking about the brand new ones. The brand new ones have the thinner necks and the push pull pot. There are probably few older Rics out there with bad necks due to the single truss rod in the 4001's.
