Look through some of the posts and think I get some of this but looking for some help.
My son who is a drummer and myself would spend time impromptu creating different grooves together. With all that's going on and the physical distance between us, we are looking for a way to do this remotely. I understand the latency thing and know that real-time will not be an option...
Ideally I would like to have him lay down a few minutes of a drum track send it to me and I put bass over it and send it back to him.
Looking for very basic low-tech here. Tone and great sound quality are not necessarily the goal just the fun of doing it. It could be as simple as a microphone on each end but not sure what to do with the sound file.
What do you all suggest?
He has a drum kit a laptop and a phone
I have a bass several amps a laptop and a phone
Thanks in advance
