Transcribe vrs. Amazing slow downer

For play along definitely check out Zplane Decoda. ASD and transcribe don't even come close for play along. With Decoda you can very easily isolate and essentially mute the bass part. And Decoda can separate the song into sections, it pretty accurately displays the song chords as you play and you can slow down etc.

How is the audio quality of Decoda when slowing down to 50% or more? is it just as good as ASD or Transcribe? I am more interested in the pitch and slow down stuff than in other options.

A few years ago, I was evaluating several slow-downer apps and came to the (personal) conclusion that the best overall (in my opinion) app is Transcribe, and I'm using it on my computer.
(For this/that reason, I don't like any similar apps on my iphone - it's just me.)
Only a desktop model/app allows me to engage and indulge (properly) in transcribing a track/song.
Transcribe is being regularly updated.
Currently, music track separation apps start "conquering" the music app field.
It has its value but (in my opinion), Transcribe it's needed anyway.
Tomorrow (Over the weekend), I'll start experiencing with deCoda and provide my opinion.

ok cool, let me know how you like Transcrive vs Decode if you will! Where did you get that discount by the way, can not find it on their site.
I will wait with buying till after the weekend anyway.

I just did a very quick comparison at 75% and 50%. To my ears Decoda sounded slightly better than transcribe. However, keep in mind with Decoda you can essentially dial out the bass part, which you cannot do on transcribe. On transcribe you can play with EQ but that's about it.

And Decoda displays the chords of the song pretty accurately. Neither ASD nor Transcribe can perform this function usefully.

Here is my first impression about deCoda.
The process of registering deCoda has "irritated" me, but I've passed it.
Next, I've got a "window" telling me to download Amlitude (or something like that).
I've started feeling "not good" , but followed the link to download IK Product Manager, but...
The process of creating a new account went "sour" - it's good I did not hurt my computer.
I was mad at that IK PRODUCT company!
(>JK)(*UHJGY : : HPUI - that's how I felt and that's what I said.)
Now, somehow I was able to get to the deCoda Start screen.
WHAT???
It's in that "lunatic" DARK SCREEN - I can't even see how to open my file, etc...
YES. The creators of deCoda have offered a lot of TUTORIALS - YOUTUBE VIDEOS, but it's NOT FOR ME!
Eventually, I was able to open a file and listen to it.
YES. The track has sounded, kind of, "better" than with Transcribe, but I had a sensation that deCoda has added some "effect/s". Transcribe just gives you a raw/pure recording - that's what I NEED! (no "BEATS by Dre" headphone sound for kids!)
Next.
What do I want from deCoda instead of Transcribe?
I don't know!
I don't know why should I use deCoda!
For what?
For transcribing tracks?
NO!!!
For listening just as another player?
(Maybe, I need to spend time and watch those numerous youtube videos and figure out WHAT?)

To sum up my opinion.
Should you have Transcribe - you don't need anything else!
Should you want to split/separate tracks - use Lalai or Moises and listen the separated tracks on TRANSCRIBE!

P.S. Now, something positive.
The discount price for that deCoda was very appreciated!

Up until very recently the advantage of ASD was that it could integrate with spotify...so you could lift tunes off your playlists. Unfortunately spotify kicked 3rd party apps off or something, thus defeating the purpose of both apps for me. :(

I have used both transcribe and spotify in the past, they're both good.

For me, much of the appeal of Transcribe is the ability to set measure/section markers and automatic subdivision. This does two things. One, I can loop a measure or verse (or whatever) without having to figure out the beginning and end of the loop. I can see the beginning and end very clearly. Set the markers once and you're done, unless you need to fine tune the placement of a marker. Two, it makes it easier to understand complicated rhythms, odd time signatures, and short measures. Also, I like being able to see the entire song with labels for each section. It's great for Transcribing, as it was designed to do. ASD seems to be more popular with folks who just want to play along or figure out a lick. Both are great tools. Which is better depends on your criteria.

Ok. Too bad it was such a hassle. From what I read here Transcribe! seems the best. ASD and Transcribe are about the same price.

Is the audio quality of Transcribe when slowing down 50% or more the same as ASD? That’s the most important for me.

For my ears, Transcribe is better.
I like to slow down a track, and nothing works better than Transcribe.
Transcribe keeps the best sound quality after setting a track speed to 25% or lower.
N.B. Please, don't interpret my comments as some negativity against ASD.
Both apps are wonderful inventions by smart people.
I'm grateful for those apps.
I would say, Transcribe is more for a detailed-oriented work on transcription, while
ASD is more helpful for people with less available time.

Let's say, I'm listening to a very interesting and attractive bass line from a new track, "Lord of the Fishes."
And I have a question about the pitch/s of some "bending" phrases (like echoing rings on the water where the fish are rising) on the bass in the upper register.
With Transcribe, I slow it down to 20% of the track speed, go up one octave, and it helps me to determine how it was played.

Didn't know it was on YouTube already. Sounds like a mating whale when slowed down to 20%. Thanks for your help again! Now I can find out my own parts ;)
