I was very pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Traynor SB200H & SB500H compact amp heads. I had been using Markbass LM-250 heads and Markbass 2x10 & 1x12 HF cabs together, and they are brilliant, no doubt. But then I heard a Traynor SB200H demo, that was enough. I bought one. NOT disapppinted. On the ccontrary, I was so impressed I bought the bigger SB500H.

I live in the UK, so I had to buy the Traynor heads from the US as they have no UK distribution. That was costly but worth it. But I can't buy Traynor cabs in the UK and import costs on cabs are prohibitive. So, I use my Markbass cabs and they do an excellent job, punchy, respnsive clarity and plenty of low-end. They sound so much better (in my opinion) with the Traynor heads.

I just read your post, I am in the midst of going for the Markbass 4x10 cabinet and the Traynor SB500H. It sounds like you like the sound. What style of music do you play?

I play most styles, pop, rock, funk and reggae mostly. Some rudimentary jazz too.
I can't sing-the-praises of these little Traynor small block amps enough, no gimmicks, no flash, no frills....no RGB LED's..!! Just solid tone...
