Traynor/Yorkville

I think they are outstanding. I also think that you will know how you feel about them and how they sound to you once you go out and try one, which should be easy if they are popping up used all the time! :)

My only complaint about them is that they don't have a lightweight option. But, if you don't mind your amps being heavier, or you want an all-tube head, they are well worth taking some time to get to know.

Bonne chance!

Great support for their gear, I bought a very broken 77 YGM-3 while I was starting to learn how to fix tube amps, I needed an input transformer, I sent them an E-mail and got a response from one of the guys who designed it...

I love these amps. I have two, a 100w combo and a 400w head with 410 cab. I love the sound, build quality and variety of features/settings/connections. They are great for the price and I see them everywhere (GTA/southern ontario) since they are made local. Lots of amps and sound systems around with Yorkville stamped on it, definitely a workhorse around here.

If you are looking to buy one, go for it. You cannot go wrong with one of these.

Well, I think you can go wrong with some of their past product line, especially if you are looking at one of their 70's era all solid state amps... yes they are practically bullit proof, but lack true bass tone (IMHO)
Their current line of amps is leaps and bounds ahead of their solid state amps...
My advice, seek out tubes and look at offerings that are 5 years old or newer...
