I just picked up a fretless trb5 and there is a humming noise that is present. It kinda goes away when I pan between the neck and bridge pickups. I have a fretted model that does not have this problem. Yamaha tells me to bring it in and the lutherier says i have single coilsin the bass and that is normal. Talked to yamaha and they say different.
