I know Jeff Bradetich published a book. (I've never seen it)
Warren Benfield's The Art of Double Bass Playing might be what you are looking for as a Treatise.
Henry Portnoi's Creative Bass Technique is a method that includes more written text than études, but it is not really a treatise.
