ya, patton mentioned something about that, he was gonna have trevor and buzz play keys and dave using an electric kit. Nice man I wanted to head up to that show but I couldnt get a flight out
trevor dunn is absolutely incredible. insanely versatile and a very nice guy in person. he also takes time to answer some of my annoying myspace questions!

I took a couple of lessons with him before the economy tanked and I lost my job (the owner worked on Wall St. and needed to cut the budget).
He plays a lot of random experimental gigs around Brooklyn and the Lower East Side - cool one offs and whatnot.
I know I'm seeing him on tour with Fantomas here in Australia (supporting Serj Tankian) on Jan 21... can't f***ing wait!!
Saw trevor last week (Jan 27th) playing with the Melvins in Melbourne, amazing player, and great at both fingerstyle and pick. I definately have to get some Mr Bungle now..
Same, saw the melvins at the annandale and fantomas at the enmore. Trevor killed it both times.
I would love to hear about what a lesson with him involved if anyone wants to share? Seems like he would be a very knowledgeable guy.

I saw him in Brisbane the week prior to last with Fantomas. Oh my, now there's a band who know how to play. I couldn't help but feel Serj should've been the support, and I'm a pretty big fan of SOAD/Serj.

I managed to meet him once after a Mr Bungle show. He was a really cool guy.
A while back I sent him a transcription of the song Carry Stress In The Jaw from the Disco Volante album via myspace. Actually, it was the first four bars with the sax duo.
He responded back promptly, and even corrected what was wrong in what I initially sent him. I'll attach his reply below. My original is below his reply:

Hey Matt-
wow, I'm not 100% sure...my notes for that are buried, and for the life of me I can barely remember it....here's what I think:
the first note is F# for sure and the last three notes of the first measure are F, Eb, Db.
the first four notes of bar two are correct but I think that fast run is G, Ab, C, D, E, F# (I seem to remember it being partially whole-tone). Also the rhythm there---it should be a 16th-note triplet on the and-of-3.
the notes in bar 3 seem cool, but rhythmically I guess it should be written as two five-tuplets with the first and last ones being rests.
the last bar is all wrong ha ha! I think it starts on F (a min 3rd up from where you have it, goes up and octave to F then down to D, A, F, D (all descending) then up a maj 7th to C# (the rhythm there would be 16th-8th-16th; 16th rest-16th-16th-16th rest; two eighths --guitar splat on beat 4.
I could be totally wrong though. I also seem to remember it being related somehow to the bass/vocal melody in the middle.
