IMHO, "re-branding" a Squier just contributes to the stigma of owning (or, Heaven forbid!, gigging) a Squier, when in fact it should be no different than owning a MIM, or any of the other "budget" basses, like some Ibbys, etc, etc.
If it's good, then it is good, and if it sucks, then it sucks, regardless of the name on the headstock.
As a matter of fact, I want everyone to think that Squiers suck in order to keep their price point in check... :-D. Easier for me to justify another purchase if necessary. Everybody please spread the word.

Throw us a frickin bone here! You have to tell people what brand, where you got them and how they fit / what you had to to make them fit! Inquiring minds want to know... like me, I've been considering a black pearl PG for my VMJ.
