Tricked Out Squier Club Part 2

I am currently at work and with the blocks on this pc some of the pictures didnt show up. I did my best to accurately update numbers. I sincerely apologize with the lack of updates. Working retail during the holidays with a 3 man crew at an electronics store...gets pretty busy. Plus I am planning a wedding. :/

Also, FYI: to save space on page, please take into consideration the size of posts you quote. Thank you.

I requested one in Post 260 at the bottom of (my) Page 13. I'd still like one when you get a chance...

It looks like a good day to ask for a number ! May I have one ? This is my first of what is now a new hobby. I very much like how it looks w/o the pick guard . The pups are from a MM 5.

Looks great without the guard! :bassist:

Leave the guard on - there's a coin holder underneath it that looks dorky if you expose it.

No, there is not. That is a pic of an Affinity Jazz V. There are no CNC holes in those bodies. Here is an Affinity body stripped:

Hey - I just clear coated an Affinity V before I left SoCal and it was there. The owner wanted to run sans-pg too, and it wasn't possible for the unit he had.

Interesting though.

IIRC, the Affinity V's are crafted in both China & Indonesia. I suppose it could come down to which country of origin it came from. The 3 I own do not have the holes under the pickguard. As you say, interesting.

random question for people that have some experience with affinities.
do you think they compare to mighty mite quality?
i was thinking about doing a pbass build, but if i can get an affinity cheaper and have it be the same thing, that makes more sense.

I only own one Affinity and can tell you that the neck is sweet and has never given me any troubles.

I use ROTO77s on it, and they are just fine with it. I slightly rounded off the edge of the fretboard with a file and sanding block and it has never moved, bent, bagged nor sagged at the knees.

The rosewood is very pretty and the headstock is solid. At the moment, it is one of my go-to basses when I want serious thump and sustain.

Besides, it's pretty.

Yeah - it's one of the 'You Too Can Play Bass' MIC combo pack orphans too.

I've still got the amp and use it for my harmonica playing - it has a great amount of splatter - just what a harmonica needs.

To this day I am still waiting to find someone with the same bridge this one has - it's heavier and bigger than anything I've ever seen on a Fender or Squier or as an official replacement part.

Hopefully, someday - somewhere - somehow I'll find another one of these basses and either buy it for a complete overhaul or someone will send me one. This is one bass I would not mind having another one, used (did I say that?).

im really just gassing a p with a rosewood fretboard, and the starter packs that come with a mini amp arent a bad deal. thought about going the sx route too, always had good luck with them. the only problem with that one is that fender parts are even harder to retrofit than the squiers.
