Tried the new Fretwraps - Huge Improvement

I ordered a couple of the new FretWraps with my recent string order (from bassstringsonline.com, the best place to get strings) and I am really impressed with the new design. They perform considerably better. They added a little stiffness to the pad but the biggest improvement is in the latch. If you have used these before you know how much the clip moved, loosening the grip. They now attach the clip directly onto the wrap so it doesn't slip sideways.

I was really impressed with the new design, I just thought some others might be interested. I will probably replace all of my older ones with the new style.

I had no idea they redesigned these. I wonder if a little glue can make my old ones function that way.

I'm glad I only bought one on a special a couple of years ago. I hardly ever use it, and would never buy another.

They are for muting strings when you are doing two-handed tap and do not have a free hand. They market them for cleaning up your crappy technique as well but I do not use them for that and I do not recommend others use them for that.

It is the same idea as a scrunchie but far more effective. I actually tried a handful of scrunchies before finally just spending the money and getting fretwraps. The fretwraps are well worth the money. Even the old ones perform far better than any scrunchie I tried.
