You are absolutely right, window shopping is about the only thing I could do if I were to go again (may be next year), if the Yen keeps going up!


I actually had my eyses on a Used Moon in Ishibashi, but was sold when I visited the shop.

I'd love to have a Moon (particaularly especially the Larry G one) and would not mind a Atelier Z, either!

This thread is quickly becoming more and more of a bass porn thread!

Thanks a lot for all those useful information. I'm trying to absorb all of them. The language barrier fears me but AFAIK japanese sellers are very polite (completely opposite of sellers in France) so we'll find a way to understand.

Me too, I've heard that eating is very pricey but after seeing London and Paris I don't think it will be more expensive. On the other hand there are always some news (filler news in newspapers, you know them) as how much expensive are the fruits etc. sold in Tokyo compared to Istanbul where 1 kg of apple is less than $1.5 :D

I'll definitely check second hand MIJ basses. I hope only one bass I'll buy during my trip but my Jedi senses tell me that it can be more :help::help::help:

Dude, I live near tokyo. the place you want to go to is an area of tokyo called "Ochanomizu". It is by Akihabra on the Chuo line (yellow line). There are stores everywhere outside of the train station. Bass Collection in Shibuya is a bass players dream! They have some of the highest end choice boutique instruments on the planet. Definatly worth a drop in.
