Triumph Bass?

Hi all! I just picked up a pretty sweet 4 string made by Triumph? I have never heard of the company before and in researching could only find 2 acoustic guitars, a six and a twelve string, for sale, that were from the sixties. The case looks like and old Fender and the bass is a p bass style with laminated body, maple board, and grover open back tuners. Does anybody here have any experience with a Triumph bass and if so, could you please fill me in on whatever you can regarding where made, possible age? It is high quality with exceptional tone, but I am wondering if it was a "cheapie" in it's day or considered more than that. TYIA.

Looks like a OEM variant with a different retail name from the same factory that made the Hondo basses. Otherwise a standard P copy, the unique string through bridge/tailpiece with the heavy brass saddles is almost identical to those in the Hondo basses (from the scale of the pix)

Yes, the Hondo is very close to the same. That's a good match on the bridge from what I could tell. And the unusual grovers match as well. Thanks for the reply Syn--------.

I think that's a very cool looking bass. Love the matching headstock. Actually looking at one of these in my area to buy.
