I bought a Mesa 800 + recently. Mainly on reputation of service and build quality. But I’m not naive to think there will never, ever be a problem. But I am confident if there is, they’re there to take care of it, quickly. Plus, to have the guy who built it as a resource? Who does that? Mesa that’s who.

You’ll be pleased to know that the guy who designed your Genz gear also designed the Mesa Subway. So you actually ARE a Mesa guy!

I wasn’t saying it’s a junker. I must have missed still under warranty. These threads get so long sometimes, I missed part of the conversation. My bad.
I had a Markbass head certified repair and it worked fine after that. However, I lost my trust in it and eventually sold it.

Even if it wasn't under warranty, it's s straight forward, economical amp to repair and repair properly.

I have been doing factory support and repair for all of the Genz Benz products I designed, most over 10 years old now. Never a problem getting them back to original, reliable condition.

No sorry needed. I was a Genz Benz guy for years. Then I needed a 2 ohm capable head with more power than my old NeoPak and now I'm a Mesa guy.

I don’t have a problem with Mesa equipment in fact I’d love to get a all tube head and they seem to be the industry standard today, but my money is kind of tight. My shuffle max 12.0 and 6.2 handle everything I do so no new heads for me unless some long lost relative leaves me some money. Now my buddy is looking to buy that subway wd800 instead of fixing his 800, but I told him it may be a easy fix and a lot cheaper, but his pockets are lot deeper than mine hahahaha
