Troubleshooting SRH500F pickup?

All right. New bass, an Ibanez SRH500F. I've had it maaaaaybe two weeks.
Messing around with it, playing along, works fine. Come back to it a few hours later and the G string is just - dead. No output. This has got their "Aerosilk Piezo system," something I haven't messed with.

It's got level adjustment pots you can access through the back. Works for E, A and D - but again, nothing for G now. Tossed a new battery in since, well, I have no idea yet how these start reacting if a battery's weak. No change.

Took a peek to see if I could see any obvious wiring breaks or bad solder joints - nothing jumps out.

Any obvious other places to troubleshoot, or just start a warranty replacement since it's at two weeks? (Though I'm having enough fun with this bass I don't want to let it go for that long. )

Check to make sure the bridge is sitting flat. and the screws are snugged. Failing that it's warranty time. You could get into it deeper, it's probably a positioning/contact issue, but they (Ibanez) should be doing a better job constructing them. IMO there is no reason the customer should have to suffer for their inept construction methods.

have you tried taking the G string off the saddle and reseating it? The piezo is on each string saddle.

Yeah, I had.

Though I'd expect that (off the top of my head) to just be quieter if it weren't seated well. There was absolutely no signal coming from it.

Touch over a month, figure I'd follow up.
The replacement came quickly (within days.) So far, no problems, it's playing very nicely.
