Trying to find the 'one'

I don't believe that there is "THE ONE" for some people...
My "Ones" (subject to change) are:
Ken Lawrence Brase 5
Alleva Coppolo LG-5
Alleva Coppolo KPB-5
Lakland 55-94
Warmoth Deluxe 5 fretless

I could be happy with any of these but I am not so tied up in any of them that I could not bear to sell one (or more). My definition of "The ONE" would be a bass that would make me sell all of the others. With the range I have covered, I don't think that is possible. I don't have any REAL GAS right now but I still look.

Thanks for the recommendations and replies, guys.

After debating with myself and following a few suggestions of really putting down the specs that I want, I've decided to go with a Warwick streamer stage II. I've finally admitted to myself that I'm having trouble with the slim jazz bass neck due to my long fingers anyways, figured that a fat neck would be more to my liking.

Though it'll cost $1300 over my budget may not be the one, hopefully this'll be my new soul mate for quite a while. I look forward to the loving relationship.

Try not to buy a bass before actually playing and hearing it. Just spend some time at all the music stores you can find and try all the basses. If you're willing to spend that much money on a bass you should be willing to travel a bit or ask a fellow Tb'er in your area to try the bass you're interested in. The more you try the better idea you will have what's out there. This said, most of the basses you find at the store will already have been picked over and what's left are usually the not so good/too expensive ones. I got lucky finding a great cheap bass at my local Guitar Center (an GSR 205) by the fact that the bass was just unboxed and I was the second person to play it. The first person luckily did not recognize a good tone when he played it but I did. I also suspect my GSR 205 happens to be a special one because I also tried a just unboxed GSR 200 and it had an somewhat unpleasant sound so YMMV.

FWIW if you're buying a 2009 Streamer SSII, Warwick has gone back to their pre-1999 neck profile, which is noticably slimmer than their 1999-2008 profile. Not skinny by any menas, but much more of a "C" shape than the "D" shape of 1999-2008. I dig it :)
