Trying to track down a bass I saw but once.

Here on the forums, in the classifieds, there was a G&L, I want to say L2000. This one was special though. It sent me on a long and tiresome search for something similar, but nothing ever compared. It was a deep, dark blue. Like obsidian with a hint of azure. It had a natural wood binding, gold tuners. Fretless with a glossy ebony fingerboard (I believe a white binding as well). I want to say it was running 800. After seeing it, and being so desperate in my love, I turned to find out more about G&L, just to discover they don't generally do anything like this, and to find out, it's more of a Fender Aerodyne thing, only done with exquisite precision. I've been watching ever since, and never seen anything like it again. Is there truly only one? Does not another exist? Do we know who has it (mainly out of curiousity, as I couldn't afford it, even if they thought to sell)?

Any help is appreciated, or any other basses of this style/general description (not nessecarily blue) would be awesome to see (beside aerodynes).

I have a feeling that's the one, but with the pictures no longer up, and no word from who ever ended up with it, I'm a bit lost. Suppose I could contact the original owner, see if he still has the pictures and see if he'd be willing to tell me who he sold it to.

That's her. Thanks for the help in tracking it down. It's too bad the only trade I have right now is my Alemic Epic, and that's not going anywhere.

Indeed, I have it! It is indeed one of the prettier G&L's I've seen, which is why I couldn't say no! Judging by the prices people ask for theirs, it seems I got it at a steal, too. It's still up for trade, but the offers haven't been all that. I might put a cash price on it soon, but it's an unusual specimen, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what that amount ought to be.
