I play the Mywatt 400. Loud, powerful and very detailed projection with nice tube coloring. Handmade on turret boards.

Don't wanna thow any spanners in any works here, but anyone tried or seen the 'new' LANEY NEXUS 400w all tube amp head??? worth considering?????? it LOOKS nice in the ads I've seen. Not heard it OR seen it in the "flesh" tho

It looks interesting. I wonder what it'll cost in Oz.

Dunno whether the price will be better, but I think I'd trust LANEY over Fame me self!! ;-) but I guess what ever has the best sound ...................... I DO like solidity & reliability............I HATE all this "throw away society" we're becoming..... NOT to say the Fame & even the ASHTON are throwaways by ANY means. ps see thread re EDEN's new all tube 300w head.........spookily similar???????????

I just hope that it sounds as good too. If it doesn't, it'll make a fine platform. Far cheaper than the DIY one I had in mind.

I was really surprised how solid everything feels for a modern head. My Monster 135 is rock solid of course, but it weighs a bit more, is PP and from the 70's.
