I e-mailed Bob at Eurotubes. I told him what I had, and the sound I was seeking.

New Sensor and Magic Parts is where we get ours... But a TB'er turned me onto www.audiotubes.com, cool NOS tubes there.

suprising, an exclusive JJ importer recommended some JJ tubes
(I'd most likely grab JJ 6l6's myself)

Is it the JJ 6L6's or EL34's that are a bit dodgy? I cant remember, i read one of them didnt have too good a reputation
Eurotubes definately. I have been very happy with the 6L6's I got from him they are great sounding tubes adn I have had no issues with them.
The only problem I have with any JJ power tube is with the pins. They seem to be a little bit thinner than other brands. If you have tight sockets it's not a problem, but if you don't, I've seen many a set burn up.
A local music shop? I went to my locally owned shop "Melodee Music" for 6L6 tubes and they had 'em. Sovtek was recommended by the tech who refurbished my old Bassman and they sound great.acexxxoasis said:
