I'm looking to install a tug bar on my American Professional but, unfortunately, the placement template that comes with it from Fender only shows placement for a thumb rest. Can someone please help me out with getting the correct placement?

Is this placement diagram the same correct placement for a single screw mounted 1951 Precision?I found this ,hope it helps. I would also google for some pics to make sure this is exactly what you want. View attachment 3075534
They are identical to the later 2-screw plastic ones (posted above), except the slope starts from the central screw and more evenly rolls down to the edges, instead of from the position of the two screws. I hope that makes sense? 2 9/16" long,Do you guys know the original dimensions of the maple tug bar on a 1951 Precision? Length, height, & width?
1/2" x 1/2" but when you sand the top flush, you can bring it down a touch closer to 15/32" which is usually around how tall they are.I see your original maple tug bar with single center screw measures 2 9/16" long but how wide and how tall in center does it weigh? I understand the tapper beginning closer to the center screw mount and will have to eyeball that drop off so that it doesn't resemble the reissue bar? I'll use a small belt saw to ruff out the bar then belt saw the finer points. I don't have a tug bar to compare to. My MIJ Fender Precision didn't come with a tug bar?
Although the conversion figure he gives is not correct. Don't know where he got 2.5451. The correct figure is 2.54 exactly.Yes they are; it says so at the top of the drawing, albeit in very small print.
As per your request on another thread. The diagram is confusing with the tug bar being 2 screw mounts? Can anyone here with an original 1951/55 Fender Precision tell me the measurements from the tug bar center screw to the bottom string edge and from the screw to the lower horn guard mount screw, and from the forward mount screw on the control plate over the tub bar screw center? This triangulation should show EXACTLY where the single screw should be located.
