Tunes that I'm working on... Feedback required

Hey, first time posting here, but been visiting for a little while.

I'm currently in the middle of working on a lot of stuff, so thought I'd post a couple of videos to see what people thought of it so far... Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

As you can se/hear, neither are completely finished yet.. I'd just like to see what people think so far.

I like the melody of the second clip better than the first.
I've never tried writing chordal passages like those on bass, so props for playing that style.
Unsolicited advice? >>>Practice these with a metronome to improve the continuity, it may improve the flow a little. Keep at it!

I liked the first one better, although both have potential. I am hearing some ethereal keyboards in the background and maybe some very light percussion effects as well. The first one sounds like it could be a transitional piece between songs on a CD or a quieter part in a much heavier song.
