I was watching old GI Joe re-runs on DVD a few months ago and started like actually listening to the background music. It's shockingly jazzy and complex, considering the show. Fairly complex arrangements, full bands (guitar, bass, drums) with woodwinds and horns.

Kinda makes me pine for those pre-synth days where every tv show had actual background music recorded by large ensembles and written by professionals.
