I'm making a twin jazz pickup out of a set of Dimarzio J. Two split coil J pickups glued together.
I'm planning to have single J, P, reverse P and dual J configuration with passive tone. No need for parallel/series switching inside each J. However I have no clue how to wire it. What kind of switches, vol-tone or vol-vol-tone? Wiring gurus please help!

Coils are like this. Red and white are hot, black and green are ground of the coils.

I would not expect a massive tone difference between inline and staggered split coils, reverse or not... Do you have reasons to think otherwise?
Do you know where those 2 pickups will be positioned relative to the bridge ?
I believe there are ways to achieve more tonal variety with this dual split J setup  But it's OK if you really want that single J / dual J / P / reverse P thing, someone here will certainly be able to help either way !

I've made a three coil MM in the past and that had clearly audible difference between different wiring. I suppose dual J and P will also have an audible difference. Pickup will be in MM position. I'm going to test different wirings and then make the final wiring with the coil variations I like.
