Two 2x15s and a 4x10?

Wouldn't it be easier just to wire your 215's to 8 ohms each to get a total 4 ohm load?
He said his 2x15 cabinets were 4 ohms each before (parallel) and he has rewired the cabs to be 16 ohm each (series). This means each of his individual 15" speakers are 8ohm. There is no way to wire his existing speakers as you suggested unless he replaces the speakers with 4ohm speakers and wires series or 16ohm speakers and wires parallel.
