Hello,
I am currently re configuring my bass rig and I have been considering having two custom 4x10 cabinets made and I was trying to decide on speakers. I've heard great things about these Eminence Delta 10A speakers but I was curious on people's opinions here. Specifically, I play metal and was wondering how the bass response on this would sound with 8 of these speakers running together. I like to have the deep rumbly sound, but I still need plenty of clarity and volume in the upper registers as well. I am running a Fender Bassman Pro 300w Tube Head. I plan to run this with two 8 ohm cabs (netting a 4 ohm load)
I previously had a Mesa 4x10 Powerhouse (older model) and was having trouble getting a sound I liked out of it. The speakers would fart often and I wasn't able to get the sounds I liked out of it. I'm sure a second Mesa cab itself would help, but I am still not that huge on the cab's sound regardless. And its only 600w as opposed 1400w per cab (2800w total) I would get from this new configuration. If anyone has any suggestions as to whether or not the Delta's are good, or if I should look into some others, please let me know. I am somewhat of a noob when it comes to actual speaker models and brands.
Thanks!
