Two 4x10 cab setup with Eminence Delta 10A Speakers

The Delta's are significantly more sensitive (3+ db) than the Daytons. with two 410's that difference adds up. OTOH, the Daytons are sufficiently sensitive that they would likely deliver plenty of spl in most venues. The Daytons potentially have deeper bass in a cab of optimum volume and tuning. The Delta's could be EQ'ed to a similar deep bass response if the bass control was peaked below about 70 Hz.

Yes, ~ 104dB from 8 Daytons & ~ 108dB from 8 Deltas, plus anything the boxes might add. Still for ~ 1/2 the Delta price (which is still very reasonable imho), the Daytons look very formidable. :thumbsup:

In my experience, running the Daytons in one box, and the delta 10b in an identical box, the Daytons walked all over the eminence. Better bottom, much louder. I'd expected them to be about the same, cuz the eminence are more efficient by spec, but also 16ohm vs 8. Nope. Wasn't even close

There are 16-ohm Delta 10s, yes, but there are 8-ohm Deltas, too. These would yield 8-ohm 410s for a 4-ohm "stacked" 810.

Eminence Delta-10A Speakers - Eminence Delta 10A speaker. The Eminence Delta 10A is a 10" 8 ohm speaker. The Eminence Delta 10" speakers are rated at 350 watts RMS. Eminence Delta 10A speakers here.

I think the Dayton's are very good drivers and an exceptional value, but that sensitivity difference is substantially increased at high power levels due to thermal compression. Good quality drivers like these will have close to 3 db of thermal compression. The Delta will start to compress at higher power levels than the Dayton. Still, the Daytons (all 8!) will deliver some serious spl. The question is does the OP need as much spl as he can get, or is just frighteningly loud enough.
