two bass case

Check out the end of the Sadowsky Mega thread. We were all just talking about double bass bags. The Mooradian model is very good. If you want massive beefy (and have big dollars to spend), the In-Case DUB is pretty cool, although I don't like the fact that there are not two separate zipper compartments to keep the basses totally away from one another.

The Low End leather double bag is also very nice, especially for the price, although they are a bit heavy.

I meant the Alleva-Coppolo thread, not the Sadowsky. The Low End double bag is very nice, but as mentioned above, quite heavy.

The Estrella double bag is my favorite. They make the double and single bags for Fodera. Very lightweight, separate compartments, lot's of padding, and lot's of outer pocket space (which is key when you have to basses).

If you end up ordering one of these, they usually make two sizes, a 'regular' which fits most basses, and a 'long' which you need for a full size Jazz bass (due to the offset of the body and the long headstock). So, make sure you tell them what kind of bass you have.

After having one of these, I have to say that it is impossible for the two basses to touch each other in the Dub. The center divider is thick, quite stiff, and tightly fitted . The Dub is great, but two Fenders and the front pocket full of stuff it was just two heavy to deal with. What good is a bag that weighs more and is much more bulky than any other piece of gear I own? I went back to two individual bags/cases.

+1 I didn't mean that the basses would actually touch each other. I just really dislike the design in general (I would never own a double bag without separate compartments, more for ease of access than anything else. It was very cumbersome to lift that top bass off and try to get to the bottom bass if that was the one you needed) and the weight in particular.
