Double Bass Two channel combo amp with adjustable high pass filter/filters?

Not to overcomplicate things, but have you considered a Grace Felix? Then you can use it with whatever amp/PA/powered speaker you want to.

Looking at the replies so far, that may end up being my best option. I think i'm just too picky about extended lows, and need that kind of control. Maybe this deserves a new post, but what sorts of amp/powered speaker would you suggest?

Which APA product do you use? Is there one that can mix two instrument inputs?
Theoretically there are such things, for example the Serpent Audio Send'n Blend or the M/S Blender 500 or the Radial SX-500, but unfortunately they are no longer built and are therefore only available second-hand and/or very expensive...I solved the mixing problem with a Lehle Parallel SW II...:)

Sorta depends on your needs. If I was starting all over, knowing the journey I've taken, I'd get the Felix and the nicest FRFR type powered speaker I could find. Honestly I'd probably be pretty happy with a nice QSC K12.2 or equivalent. I play jazz and big band, seldom need to be too terribly loud. Anything more and I'm looking for a PA, which the Felix does incredibly well with two dedicated XLR outs. Last big supported gig I took the Felix on, the sound guy loved that he was able to run the EB and DB separate to the mains and to the monitor tech.
