Two dual coil pickups parallel/single mode with one switch

Before I'm going to buy a set of (Nordstrand) dual coils I would like to know if it's possible to add a single switch to select between parallel and single coil operation. I don't need the series option so only parallel/single coil.
I also want to have the single coil mode to be like in the picture below.

Btw. this is going to be a mod for my Ibanez EHB1500.

Yes, it is possible with a DPDT switch. You need double pole, because of two pickups. Each pole in the switch is like an independent switch.

The pickups need to be 4 wire pickups. The pole that is on during single coil mode is wired straight to ground and output, with no switch. High to signal, low to ground.

Low of the south coil is always wired to ground. High of the south coil goes to middle terminal of a double throw switch. Position 1 of switch goes to signal out. Position 2 of switch goes to ground. Switch in position 2 shorts the south coil, so electrically it is not there.

THank you very much!
Btw. how do I determine which coil is south and which one is north? I haven't found any information about that on the Nordstrand site.

If you haven't bought/ordered the pickups, I'd also ask folks at Nordstrand if they can make you a set that would be humcancelling in the configuration you have in the picture. I believe these are most commonly humcancelling when you have either the two outer coils or the two inner coils selected (assuming both pickups are on full).
