Two Gretsch Short Scale Questions

1 What is your favorite Color for the Gretsch Streamliner Jet Club, or the Junior Jet 2? I don't have a way of seeing them in person.
2 I'm seeing a limited Edition of the Streamliner, but don't know what's special about it, and there's no info on Gretsch's site. Only difference I can see is Block Inlays on the neck. Can anybody help?

I've had black G2220 Junior Jet for a couple years. The Streamliner is VVT, versus the G2220, which is Volume, Tone, Pickup selector switch.

Favorite color is very subjective, I like the Torino Green which doesn't seem to be available anywhere any more.

I do have 2 'limited edition' Junior Jet colors - broadway jade w/maple board & vintage white w/stained neck. Both have blocks. I also see Ocean Turquoise Junior Jets on Reverb with the dyed neck and blocks. None of those 'limited edition'/special colors show up on the Gretsch web site. Other than the color, the neck details (blocks, maple fretboard or dyed neck) there's no difference I can find between them and the regular junior jets. The 'special edition' aspect seems to be strictly cosmetic.

The broadway jade and vintage white Junior Jets are available through Guitar Center and other places. The Ocean Turquoise seems to be outside the US only at this point from what I can tell. With the Streamliner being newer I'm wondering the Junior Jet is end-of-life as they are essentially the same thing with very slight differences (controls as mydogfarted pointed out, and the 'thumbnail' inlays for the Streamliner).

Make sure you like the tone. Those pickups are uniquely sized and really hard to swap. I’d also try to induce hum to see how bad the new models are. Old ones (g2220) were incapable of hum canceling at any setting. This drove me nuts. Thankfully I was able to return it.

I actually love the tone, which is why I'm thinking of buying it. The guitar center has the 2 basses I'm debating between, the Sterling sub4HH, and the Gretsch. The Sterling is used, but at the same price. Each has plusses and minuses. Wish I could see the other colors for the Gretsch in person. Has anyone seen the Havana Burst in person?

I just picked up the Havana Burst yesterday. I was shopping for a short scale bass, and had given up for the day, and it was on the front wall of the store as I was walking out. The Havana Burst in particular caught my eye. For my money it's gorgeous. The burst is pretty subtle, and it brings our the colours of the fake mahogany.
