Tye Zamora - Alien Ant Farm

I heard Movies way before Smooth Criminal and I thought it kicked ass. Movies is a really good song, Smooth Criminal is pretty cool too, its getting kinda old though. About the video for Movies, I too think the first one was cooler than the second. It seems like they took a second chance with Movies after Smooth Criminal hoping people would maybe pay more attention after hearing the big single.

Just saw Alien Ant Farm in Detriot this past Monday, and Tye was Ripping it up. This is the first tour since the bus crash. They played a lot of songs that will be on the next record, comming out in a few weeks. They also did a cover of 'Smooth Operator' which was sweet!

I'm sure they'll tour again once the new record's out, but if you have a chance to see 'em now do it. I think they still play some dates on the east coast, and south east.

I like AAF, but i dont think they should have released smooth criminal as a first single, they got alot of critiques like that. I admit i was one of those peoiple, but now that i have listened to their album, i am proud to say that the whole band sound great, and Tye is a great player.

Good to see a decent bass player who really knows he's stuff in a band thats in the top 40

Yeah, from what I've read, I don't think it was their idea to have that be the first single. In fact I think "Movies" was the first single, and it didn't take off. Someone at MTV heard "Smooth Criminal" and wanted them to make a video. The way they put it was "if MTV wants you to make a video, you do". I think they did the song as kind of a joke.

Tye is an awesome bassist and his Basses look so cool too. I plan on getting their newest CD as soon as I get the money for it, AAF ROCKS!!!

IMO... meh. Nothing special in my ears, and the songs got really boring after a short while... but then again I havent heard it in a long time. Maybe I'll give it a spin.
