The first generation TL-FIVE had the same pickups and preamp as the Dyna of that same time. Sarzo was its own beast.

This....i saw Sarzo i think 4 times, once an arena opening for ZZ Top with Quiet Riot and the throw of those horn Peavey bass amps (yes Sarzo was using Peavey amps early to mid 80's) was horrendous....not good bass tone at all.

The other times were small venues and i think he played the Sarzo Peavey bass at one of those after he left Whitesnake and back to Quiet Riot.....very good player and tone.....never saw him with Whitesnake.

I then saw him in a very small club with, once again Quiet Riot, front row too....never forget he had on a pair of custom black leather Levi pants, anyway, he was great and tone was great but no clue of gear.

I thought very early on he was a Washburn endorsee along with Carlos Cavasos in QR....this was QR Metal Health just hitting the charts.

Same boat, I want to keep the tool handy even though I don't need to adjust it as of yet. I ordered one online, just waiting for it to arrive.
StewMac supposedly has one that could work with the Peavey. See this thread.

I used a Husky 5/16 socket from a 1/4 drive socket set I have. Used the short socket , not a deep well . and used a 6mm allen wrench as the lever. it worked perfect . i got most of the relief out of the neck . im going to let it sit overnight before giving it one more quarter turn to see if it will straighten out any more. Im still tweaking the tilt adjustment as well . the action is playable already I just want to get it to where it should be ,as far as my preference for a setup.

Someone that can't work on a bass would have ran from it LOL. The bridge is in rough shape but may be salvageable, if I can de-rust/free up the saddle height and intonation screws. Neck has lots of mojo, but looks straight and problem free. I'll know more when I inspect the truss nut. The frets looked great and weren't even tarnished or yucky! Body has tons of finish dings and someone either sanded the front dull or sprayed it a flat black.

I will have a lot of fun making this thing pretty and usable again.

How many turns of the micro tilt screw were necessary to lift the saddles off the bridge? I have the same model and my G string has bottomed out. Thx

Very small adjustments are recommended. Perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Loosen the strings and the neck bolts before making adjustments to the Micro tilt. Tighten the neck bolts and then tune to pitch and see if the bridge saddles are now off the bridge when the action is adjusted.

Some folks here have recommended shimming the neck rather than using the micro tilt. I have a Millennium that I shimmed (no micro tilt on that bass) and a Foundation 5 on which I adjusted the micro tilt and got wonderful results on both basses.

It's happening the maple is purchased the highly overpriced neck project is beginning.... Body responded well to a good polish.... Videos won't post.....:( 1 piece with fretboard, two piece like the original or three piece fender style are the options I have been given..... I don't have a clue....

I've shimmed just about all Millenniums that I've owned.....it's practically required with those things if you want low action.
Though I really don't care much for them, I used the tilt adjustmet on my GV with great results, no ill affects.

Correction there is one in Bedford... Would have been cheaper. But last one i bought from evil bay was also banana....
