This bass was a squier that I just completed. Funny thing is I am more excited with the olp mm body that I just put the old squier neck on. Will post pics soon!!!!!!

Tone all the way open, then tone rolled all the way off, then a second of tone "open" again (digging in a bit).

That actually looks pretty good. I'd like to figure out an actual "name" for the bass though....I'm just not sure what. I like that Font... "Fender-ish" in spirit, but not the same as Fender.

I'd suggest MDB70 BASS or some such, but it's up to you...

EDIT: The reason the font is "Fender-ish" is because it's the same font that was used by Hondo and Tokai to make their "Fender-ish" logos!

Just plain black - looks ok, but nowhere near the character it has with the pickguard on. (the pickguards are what "makes" Tele Basses and early P Basses IMO though...IOW they're my favorite "visual" thing about them)
