Uh Oh! I'm in trouble

It's a great feeling - my daughter (12 years old) has picked it up as well. We've been working at it every week and she tags along to band practice also.
Oh, and I don't think I have to worry about her developing a thing for Sadowsky - I asked her about that already and she exclaimed, "Do you know how many clothes you can buy for that?!?!"

Uh-oh; and a redhead! She won't have any trouble finding a band. 
My daughter hadn't even finished her first round of lessons before she was invited into two bands. She stayed with the second one for 7 years, and really propelled the band forward. Good luck to her!

Good luck to her!I was raised in a family full of educators and can definitely add a +1 to this statement. Every single one of them swears by the studies conducted that attest to this. My mom in particular was involved with a program called Reading Recovery that sometimes uses music to help kids with literacy problems.

First time I saw Sheryl Crow she was playing bass, looks like your daughter's on her way. I have three daughters, so I really appreciated your sharing with us. One of my daughters is a singer, probably from watching our singer walk in with only a microphone while the rest of us drug tons of gear around.

Told me she was interested in taking lessons. Makes a ole' guy cry! Gonna jump on this while she's eager. 
Now since she will need a bass for lessons and practice, I think I'll be forced to get that Lakland JO so I can give her the Fender Jazz.
Gotta come up with a plan to sell that to the "boss".

I'm wondering if I looked that funny when I picked up bass at 10yrs old lol. I'm 15 but I'm already waiting till I have kids and they want to play bass.
