UHF vs 2.4GHz Wireless Unit?

Bad news followed by good news. Last Wednesday I played with my uke group in the backyard of one member. I setup my Lekato with my Phil Jones Double Four like I always do at these sessions, but nothing, lights were on, I fully charged them the night before, nothing. Thought it might be the amp or bass, but when I switched to a cable, it worked. When I got home I tested it on my other amp and on my digital interface to the computer, nothing. Luckily I had another set I bought a few months ago, which worked perfectly. I then ordered another set from Amazon to again have one on hand.

How old was that unit? Had you gotten any additional warranty at the time of the purchase? What do you think went bad? What caused it to go bad?

No additional warranty. The first one I bought Sept. 2020 and broke the USB tip inside the port, so I ordered another two sets Dec 2021. The only thing I can think caused it was that I dropped one or the other pod a couple of times on hard surfaces.

They do seem delicate... so I've been extra careful and gigngerly when handling the Lekato. I even lubed the charging contacts a bit... it's a tight fit.
