Evening all thought I'd stop by and properly introduce myself to you all here so, here goes...
Newish bassist, found the site thru Internet searches for info on various bits of kit. Started playing last summer after jamming 6 string with friends progressed to something a bit more.
Definitely suffering a strong bout of Gas but fortunately able to sniff out a used bargain or several.
Current rig is an Ashdown ABM Evo ii 300 into Ashdown 2x10 & 1x15 deep Mag cabs. The whole thing set me back less than £200.
An OLP MM2 with a series/parallel switch added, a 5 string JB shaped object of Chinese origin that has a lovely finish and is sort of used as a test bed, been experimenting with neodymium magnets in the pickups among other things and, a Dean Edge that I got from Gumtree for £25 that has been, modded, relic'd to a point and is almost finished, plan to use this to record at home some of my punky ideas.
I've been offered a Mexican P Bass for under £300 complete with a bag and set up by a pro. Like I said GAS is strong here but I think I know what I'm buying myself for Christmas this year...
