UK T'bers - a very obscure question

Who played the very cool bassline on the theme to "Yes, Minister"

All I know is that Ronnie Hazlehurst composed the theme, so I am guessing that a BBC "house" band did the job.

Anyone know?

Wow - seriously old post but my googling of 'Ronnie Hazlehurst bass' turned this up. It seems that most of his stuff had awesome basslines that all sound like the same player. I was watching some old Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrins on Youtube and noticed the bassline to the theme is really cool. Agree that the Yes Minister one is great too - as is the one for Are You Being Served. Sounds like a P Bass with flats (and probably a mute too) to me but no idea who the player is.
