ULTIMATE Mini Rigs of Doom

What about "mini rigs of doom" within a certain price point?
Most powerful rigs:
$299 and under
$300-$500
$500 and up

Just thinking out load here… with all the great opinions on gear here (TB), wouldn't pricing be a helpful clarification?

I don't play a 6 string but I do play a 5 and fit the rest of your gig. I use a Lil G and either my homemade Eden based 900 watt micro amp or a Streamliner 900. The Lil G is a pretty smooth sounding cab to my ears but when I really need to be loud and aggressive I'll take my Xsonics 212CF with either head.

An old pic of the Xsonics 212CF but I still gig it regularly.

I could be wrong, but the way I read the OP was that you got back whatever market value for your existing gear was through insurance.

Didn't see this when I made this: Scrappy Home Practice Rigs of the Apocalypse

Guess I'll just copy paste the text:

So here's my home practice mini rig, after I ruined my organ amp trying to extract it from the actual organ:

(note that I made some small changes in the signal path since the picture was taken, following is the correct one):

Ibanez Mikro (with a pair of P/J EMG Geezer Butler pickups)>> Boss LS-2 [A+B>>Bypass]>
-LS-2 [Loop A]> EHX Black Finger (run as tube preamp)
-LS-2 [Loop B]> Monarch MFL-22 (flanger)> Joyo Orange Juice> Behringer Ultragain Mic100 (microphone preamp equipped with an EHX 12AX7 preamp tube)
-LS-2 [Output] M-Audio Fast Track (sound interface run on direct monitoring via wall outlet/USB adapter)

The headphones I use is a pair of Sennheiser HD 380 Pro

Loop A loudest and set to a very tuby warm deep tone with a bit of tube overdrive when digging in, Loop B a bit more dialed back and brighter as well as more aggressive with a light overdrive.

Together it sounds really nice actually:

Punchy and raw with a bit hair as well without for that reason getting muddy or loosing definition.

Eventually I plan on getting a Mackie Thump 15 active PA speaker (15"+horn, 500W RMS (1000 peak), Freq response: 32 - 23,000 Hz, 3 band EQ with sweepable mids) to make it possible for me to practice without headphones, as well as the possibility to use it as an emergency rig.

Probably going to put on my Behringer BEQ700 7 band graphic bass equalizer at the end of the chain too, right before the sound interface, as the tone now is just a tad bit harsh, even for my liking, but I am sure it could be corrected by cutting some highs.

Here's a sound test for those interested in how my rig sound, with the sound interface run directly into the DAW via the computer and with no further editing done:

Edit: And here's another sound test using same setup but with slightly different setting and a Behringer BEQ700, 7 band graphic equalizer, added at the end of the chain right before the sound interface:

I obviously missed the idea of this thread.

The ultimate mini rig would be with a the EHX Black Finger into a Trace Elliot Transit B preamp in the A loop of the Boss LS-2 and the B loop staying the same as mentioned in the post above but with the Behringer EQ added at the end.

Also eventual power amplification will be handled with the same active Mackie PA speaker as mentioned.
