Hi
I currently gig a mark bass lm II and a 1x12 marbass cabinet. Last week I played a 15 inch flite cabinet that weight 6 pounds less than my 112 cab. Besides flite cabinets are there any ultralight bass cabinet makers doing 12 inch cabinets that weigh in the sub 20 pound range. I believe the flite 12 inch cabinet weights about 13 pounds.

Since "1 trip complete rigs" are a premium here in New York, any way to lighten the load helps!
Thank you in advance,

If "apparent size/high output" versus weight and size was a prime concern for me, I would seriously look into Barefaced cabs and wouldn't be overly focused on driver size. These cabinets will surprise you if your only experience has been with typical "available at the music store off the shelf" cabs.

Thank you I will start doing some research into barefaced. Yes my experience thus far has been off the shelf cabs by GK, markbass ,Ampeg etc.
All great stuff by the way until you start placing a high premium on size and weight while demanding big cab performance. If you do a search on Barefaced on TB you'll find a lot of really good information. I've heard and played their cabs, but do not currently own one of their products.

Barefaced Super Midget should cover you based on what you currently use. Super Compact will do the deal if you don't want the tweeter and you want a bigger low-end. That cab is one of the best one-cab solutions out there, but it isn't cheap. With a cloth grille, the SM and SC each hit 21-22lbs.

If you aren't into the flat/neutral voicing, and you don't need a ton of volume, the One10 cab is shockingly light and loud. It might handle your current gigs based on what you are using. It is a few pounds heavier, but a Two10 would cover you.

There are other great brands that are cheaper. AudioKinesis Hathor 1203 is certainly worth a look. It's a nice cab and an easy carry. Not as loud as the Barefaced, IME, but still a solid contender at 25 pounds.

Another vote for one Barefaced Super Compact (if you want big lows and don't need a tweeter for slap) or a pair of Barefaced One 10s. I have a pair of these little lunch boxes and they are shocking in terms of tone and ratio of weight to output. I can literally throw one across the room. They are inherently mid-focused but will easily swallow some low ed eq boost and sit well in a rock/blues mix. The pair will handle anything a pair of conventional 112s will IME.

Another vote for Barefaced cabs and One10 specifically, I own a pair of them and they are ridiculously loud for their weight and size. Just 15 lbs each of them.

Very expensive and will exceed expectations:

Greenboy
Fearful
Fearless
Bestface
Acme
Boom Bass Cabinets
Schroeder

I probably missed a few manufactures.

I've got the guy in Facebook, he's genuinely nice. The cabs seem good too, especially the 110, I've contemplated that one.

As an aside, it's nice to hear of merchants that act like human beings. I'll pay the marginal toll to someone sans attitude. I'm too old to deal with a**hats. Thank you for listening, just thought I'd throw that out there.
