There were 1200 hours invested into this work of art. Ultra lightweight at a sleek 57" long. This is an amazingly beautiful and one of a kind instrument. 6 types of exotic wood!

You get a vat of melted gold and replate some new ones.
But I doubt they'd have the best output considering gold is non-ferrous.

It actually says it's 25% of the profit - so once you take out the cost of the gold plated strings (and the fine Corinthian leather) probably not a whole lot goes to the charity.

Bahahaha... this guy wants more in added fees than Les got himself when he sold one of his Carl Thompson's to fund his nephew's medical bills.

$240,000.... what a nutcase... even if he was asking 1/10 of that I would still consider him nuts.

Oh and if anybody was curious, the Les Claypool autograph only adds about $60 to an item, and that is being generous in my estimate.
