Double Bass Underwood Pickup Bridge Contact Surface Question?

Hi- I have an underwood pickup but the part of the bridge that would make contact with the top of the pickup is not flat, it has a rounded design. Do you think this will affect the performance of the pickup as only part of the bridge will be making contact with the top of the pickup? I've attached a picture of my bridge. Thank you.

If you can, put a sax reed as a shim between the wing and pickup.
I use a piece of tenor sax reed.
