Hi all

I have two questions about the Guess Who's song Undun.

First. Why did they spell it undun and not undone?

Second. Does anyone know what the song is actually about? Listening to it I'm guessing it's either a song about a woman who had a nervous breakdown or one who had a very bad acid trip. Perhaps over the years someone has read something from one of the band members talking about that song.

BTW Kale's bass work is great on that song.

Sounds like a breakdown, depression, suicide or drug overdose...possibly by someone who was trying to make it in the entertainment biz...

Anyway-
Love that tune! Still recall the 1st time I heard it...in a hoagie shop in south Philly, sitting at the counter, watching a long-haired guy & his gal pal scroll through the selections on the jukebox...they selected the "B" side of "Laughing"...which was "Undun".
I was wondering why/who picks the "B"-side of a hit?
Then I heard & instantly liked it.

Not sure about the spelling-
Why? Because they can?

I never would have guessed that he wrote the song around a line from a Bob Dylan song. Given the dark nature of the words I suppose it's better that it's not about a real life experience.

Still a great song with a great bass line.
