Uneven Volume Output

One thing that I've noticed being 2.5 years new to the bass guitars, and in my quest to try to find the one that fits me the best, is how so many of the ones I've had do not have an balanced volume output across the strings. There is always one string with noticeably less volume than the others, and it's usually either the G or E. The basses that I've found to have a balanced output are Schecters and most of the old USA Peaveys. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Yes it's quite common but, don't worry about it. All the bass needs is a set up and lowering or raising the pickup/pickups in question. If all else fails just buy the bass and replace the pickup/pickups giving you trouble. The solution may be just a turn of the screwdriver.
