Unit67 - Irreplaceable

How are you using yours?

This pedal fits the description, "secret weapon".
Grit. Compression. Mild HPF. Boost. Buffer.
Sold my first. It lived on a year rent-free in the back of my mind, so I re-purchased.

Lately mine's nested between two Lightning Boy transformers, all placed between a FET preamp and digital effects.

I haven't found any single pedal that can replace it.

I see it up front, unity gain, with some spongey compression.

Maybe some players still use their old ones?

The Dry Bell Unit 67 handles most of my sound sculpting needs these days. TB member Scubaduba has an in depth review if it over on his own site. Find it here.

Another nice tone thickening box I find a lot of use for is the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] which basically gets the sound of an Ampeg B-15 on steroids thanks to the addition of an EQ contour and an input pre-emphasis switch.
