Thought this was very interesting. Subscription based Universal Audio hardware and instrument plugins running natively on Mac. Windows coming later.

I’m surprised it’s taken UA this long to go subscription. Their move to native was likely fueled by this model change. Other biggies like Izotope, Slate and Waves have been offering subscription-based options for quite a while so this is hardly surprising.

I have the iZotope Subscription. Love the platform and my demos sound really good with it. And now that iZotope have joined forces with Native Instruments, I’m wondering what future deals might be.

But I had to take a second look at the UAudio Subscription.
