Double Bass Unknown UB piezo pickup

I am hopeful that someone might know which brand/model of pickup this is. My google search is coming up blank. It looks similar to the K&K as well as a bunch of others, but those all seem to have either wood or shrink tubing over the transducer itself. This one is more of a sandwich of two exposed copper plates (I'm assuming both are transducers) with likely some type of epoxy resin in the middle. I'm totally stumped on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That looks to be a Planet Wing Pickup sold exclusively by Kolstine. I have one. The piezo crystal is sandwiched between the two metal plates.

There are two piezo disks sandwiched. Probably connected in parallel, but you can check it by measuring if the two brass plates are connected (multimeter around zero ohms, beeping). If they are not directly connected, they are wired in series.

Well,
While it’s a decent pickup, once I get my Kolstein Travel Bass back from having it’s new neck carved and installed, I’ll install the Realist Lifeline to see if it has the tone quality and volume I prefer. The Planet Wing has a distinctive thump on the E String that I’m not fond of. All my efforts to EQ around the thump have not come to fruition. Just my take. While it may indeed be two piezo crystals connected to each other the assembly is seamless.

If I would build one that way, I would solder the cable onto the piezos, fill the inside with some epoxy (not too much, should not get pressed out) and seal the edge with some plastic or rubber-like material in black to hide the inner mess.
