Unofficial DRAGONFLY BASS CLUB!!

Greetings.

I am actually quite new to Dragonfly basses. I am a huge fan/collector of MIJ basses and these are really amazing basses!

I would love to start a club here at Talkbass. I have searched for a Dragonfly thread but there doesn't seem to be anything here. If there is one, I hope someone will point me to it.

Here is a picture of my Dragonfly Fat J4. It is a very early model (as you can see from the headstock logo). I don't know how early as there is scant info online. I hope this thread can help with that!

Post your pics! Let's chat! Bring your knowledge! Enjoy!

I would be really thankful if anyone can help with info on the history of the brand. I don't when they began making these stellar instruments but I know I have seen basses from the early 2000s. I think mine is one of these early basses.

I know the owner, "Harry" is actually named Tatsuaki Totani, and that he worked for Aria Pro during those glorious 80s. I know the basses (and guitars) are all hand made using premium materials and I know these basses are considered among the upper echelon of MIJ instruments. That is about it!

I am heading back to Japan in a few weeks and I am going to make a visit to the boutique shop when I am there... maybe I will be able to meet Harry!
