If there is a thread related to this already, my apologies for not searching hard enough.
I have a well loved, played hard 3+ years old set of Dlugoglecki's that have been on and off multiple times on both my basses. Great strings.
I'm currently changing them, the E/A have unwound to the point where the windings vibrate, and the strings are un-usable.
I know Gamut, will re-wind their strings a few times. From what I understand, Mr. Dlugoglecki does not do this.
Is there a place where they do rewind random gut strings? Or are these resigned to being unwound and used as a D/G string?
