Double Bass Unusual String ID

Trying to iD this set of strings but had no luck with the Quinn Violin ID page. The ball end of each string is purple (possibly violet). The peg ends are as follows. E-Purple A-Purple/Green D-Purple/Red G-Purple. Any thoughts? Thanks, Paul

Unless I'm misunderstanding your description, your strings don't sound like Pirastros.

My OF G string is exactly as described.

Jake - I have an unused D with a Pirastro Tag on it which is an exact match to the D in the set I described. Thats why I am confident they are Pirastros. I could be wrong, possibly its a mixed set as I don't know the history. - Paul

Weird - except for their solo gauges, all the Pirastro G strings I've seen have their typical orangey-brown silks...but then again, it *is* Pirastro.
